Electronics Engineer Intern
 
 

About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Help in designing, developing, and testing electronic circuits and PCBs.
  • Assist with PCB layout, prototyping, and assembly of hardware boards.
  • Write and test firmware code for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
  • Support hardware-firmware integration, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with engineers to test, verify, and document project results.
  • Learn and use tools, equipment, and PCB design software effectively.

PCB Designer
 
 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

PCB Layout & Design: 

  • Perform end-to-end PCB layout, including component placement, routing, and generating manufacturing files. 

  • Design multi-layer boards (4 layers and above) with adherence to industry standards, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC best practices. 

  • Ensure optimal routing of high-speed signals (e.g., DDR, PCIe, USB, high-speed LVDS) and differential pairs. 

Documentation & Collaboration: 
  • Generate comprehensive documentation, including Gerber files, assembly drawings, and BOMs. 

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, and test engineers) to align design requirements and constraints. 

  • Communicate with fabrication and assembly vendors to address DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Test) issues. 

Quality & Optimization: 
  • Conduct design reviews and participate in iterative layout improvements. 

  • Optimize designs for signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performance. 

  • Implement proper grounding, shielding, and isolation strategies to ensure reliable system performance.  

Must have skills: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field. 

  • Experience: 3 years to 5year in PCB designing 

  • Tools: Ki-cad, Eagle or Altium 

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of PCB stack-up design, impedance control, and high-speed routing constraints. 

  • Standards: Familiarity with IPC standards and best practices for PCB fabrication and assembly. 

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team setting. 

Good to have skills:  

  • Experience working with various PCB materials and advanced technologies (HDI, blind/buried vias). 

  • Familiarity with power distribution network analysis and thermal management techniques. 

  • Exposure to simulation tools for signal integrity and EMI/EMC considerations. 

 
 
Embedded Firmware Developer(Contractual)
 
 

Roles & Responsibilites:

  • Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware for electronic products. 
  • Write efficient and well-structured code in C, C++, Phyton with an emphasis on pointers, RTOS, and multithreaded applications. 
  • Develop robust code architectures that are scalable and maintainable. 
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and test firmware with hardware components. 
  • Conduct debugging, testing, and validation to ensure high reliability and performance. 
  • Write documentation and provide support for product firmware releases. 
  • Maintain existing firmware and add new features as required. 

Must have Skills: - 

  • Strong proficiency in C, C++, Phyton programming, especially with pointers and memory management. 
  • Knowledge of threads, mutexes, semaphores, and interrupt handling in embedded systems. 
  • Experience with code architecture design and embedded system performance optimization. 
  • Hands-on experience with hardware interfacing, including familiarity with common communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, MODBUS, etc.).  
  • Experience with AT commands. 
  • Understanding of networking modules like GSM modules and protocols like Wi-Fi, BLE, LORA (anyone). 
  • Understanding of EEPROM, SD-CARD, External Flash memory.
