Client Background

Solabot Technologies designs solar cleaning robots to reduce water use in solar farm maintenance. Their robots address the dust accumulation challenge without requiring the extensive water traditionally used in solar panel cleaning.

Problem Statement

Dust on solar panels decreases energy output, and conventional cleaning with pressurized water consumes excessive water, especially in arid regions. Solabot’s waterless solution needed an ECU that could withstand heat, dust, and extended field use while supporting solar-powered operation and remote monitoring.

Solution

TechShlok collaborated with Solabot Technologies to develop an ECU for their innovative, waterless solar cleaning robots. By replacing water-dependent cleaning with a dry approach, Solabot’s solution addresses water conservation in solar farms. TechShlok’s expertise helped launch the first 100 units, contributing to efficient, eco-friendly panel maintenance.

TechShlok’s team designed a high-performance ECU with:

  • Circuitry for efficient motor control and solar charging.

  • Firmware for real-time monitoring, reporting, and fault detection.

  • PCB is designed to withstand demanding environmental conditions. Testing occurred in labs and at solar farm sites to ensure reliability in real-world.

Implementation

Engineers from TechShlok accompanied Solabot to field test and optimize the ECU in real-world conditions. They adjusted for high temperatures, dust, and operational endurance, ensuring robust performance in challenging environments.

Results

TechShlok’s ECU enabled the deployment of 100 waterless cleaning robots, resulting in:

  • 1.6 lakh liters of water saved in six – nine months.

  • Reliable, continuous cleaning cycles powered by solar energy.

  • Positive client feedback on system resilience and water conservation impact.

Conclusion

Through this collaboration, TechShlok supported Solabot’s pioneering waterless cleaning technology, delivering a durable ECU that enhances solar panel maintenance while conserving water resources. This case underscores TechShlok’s expertise in sustainable electronics for real-world applications.

A future-proof, intuitive design with excellent engineering.
